How I started
I started at the age of nine and started boxing alongside my brothers who also boxed. I followed my elder brother’s example and began boxing. It was great fighting alongside family, as we were able to uplift each other and empathise with each other’s situations. Joe Gallagher trained myself and my brothers in the same gym. We all supported each other and it massively helped in my own journey, as we were able to help each other with the knowledge of the situations and challenges. It created a great environment to train in and be motivated as we all picked each other up when we happened to fall down.
My Greatest Challenge
The biggest challenge in boxing is always making weight. Overcome it by staying disciplined and dedicated, ensure that you eat well and understand the importance of a balanced diet, whether you are cutting weight or making it. Always stay on course and dedicated to the challenge.
Outside of Boxing, I love to play Pool, Snooker and enjoy spending time with my children. As an athlete, I also enjoy food! My favourite food is a good Steak!
