Having started highjump at the age of 16 at school breaking the school record I gained my first international in Paris aged 17 in 1997. Working my way through the ranks as an amatuer I jumped 2m 25 (Olympic Qualifying) at the age of 20years old. Having been ranked 2nd in europe for my event in that year I broke the southern English record and the National Record for welsh. Competing on the international scene for 13years all over the world and making european finals not to meantion 2 commonwealth games finals in both Manchester and Melbourne Australia. My aspirations for 2020 at the age of 39 is to break the National record for my age group and win gold at the world champs with a possibility of getting close to the world record in my age group. Olympics for 2020 at the age of 39 would be nice but never say never. Staying in the sport and showing that age is just a number is my goal coming into 2020 by still ranking in the top 20 Highjumpers in the UK.
