My name is Rich and I am the School Liaison Representatives Team Leader here at Sports For Champions. I grew up in Kingsley, Cheshire with my Mum, Dad and 2 sisters. During my childhood I played a lot of sports and was heavily influenced by my Dad who has always been a keen sports fan. I played football for my school team and played rugby for Chester.
My Dad is a big Coventry City fan and for my sins has always insisted I follow suit, which has brought much mockery over the years, ha! I have always had a great relationship with my parents and still to this day go and watch Warrington Wolves every weekend with my Dad.
Now I am all grown up I live in Ellesmere Port with my beautiful wife, Roisin. Roisin and I met 6 years ago during a night out in Chester and moved in together just 3 months later. Having persuaded her that I wasn’t the worst person in the world she agreed to marry me and we tied the knot in Ballyliffin, Ireland on the 4thAugust 2016. I have always thought of myself as a bit of an artist and enjoy drawing in my spare time, it keeps me out of trouble!
I am very passionate about the work we do here at Sports For Champions and get great satisfaction from sending our amazing athletes into schools across the UK and Europe and spreading the word that within every child is a champion!
