"I first began gymnastics at the age of seven. I tried football before that but soon realised this wasn’t the sport for me. As a young boy I was full of energy, always on the go, having fun, climbing trees, playing with my friends and jumping about, hyperactive really, so my family and friends thought I might enjoy the sport of Gymnastics. I was then introduced to Southport Gymnastics Club which I joined and that was how it all began. From the very start I loved the sport. It gave me something to focus on and channel the tremendous energy...

I began my gymnastics journey at the age of 2 & 1/2 years and was selected into my first development squad at 5 years old. Over the years I had developed a real love for Tumbling so at the age of 7 I chose to specialise in this discipline and from that point I have never looked back. I maintained a 15 hours per week training schedule around school with not much other time to do anything else however, I loved gymnastics so at that age, it was no sacrifice.

I first picked up a basketball at 12 years old on the South Acton Estate in London and I was hooked. Growing through the ranks of the junior circuit and then onto playing in the big league – my passion for the game was always at a high and I was a talented player, however my sporting achievements were never seen on par in comparison with my academic efforts coupled with the fact that Basketball was a new sport to the UK – the resources were simply not there to push me to the highest level. My love for the...

I am from Birmingham and am currently coached by Linford Christie at Brunel University. I train seven days a week for between three to four hours a day. I started athletics at about age twelve and started training twice a week with a distance running group until I saw the sprinters. I joined a sprint group and from there I went to training six days a week three to four hours a day! It took me almost eight years to make my first international team (European under 23s 2009). In 2010 I made my first senior international, the World Indoor...

I began my career in competitive athletics relatively late, first competing in 2006 as a seventeen year old. As a result I had a limited youth and junior career. However, having begun late, I made steady and significant improvements in my first few years, 10.75 to 10.26 in the space of two seasons. My most significant improvement came in 2009 with me running a time of 10.09 which ranked me third in the UK, and ranked me amongst the quickest guys in Europe as well as the UK, but unfortunately that season ended early with injury. So it was not...
