Hello! My name is Matt and I am a School Liaison Representative at Sports for Champions. I have recently joined this great company. Since joining I have realised that healthy eating, sport and keeping active is important.
I am 38 years of age recently moving into my lovely new house with my partner. I have been sporty from an early age, my father was a football referee and my mum an avid touchline supporter (even managing sometimes to miss my goals!)
I played for my local football team Mynydd Isa since the age of 6, right up to the age of 18 – realising the cold mornings were not very appealing.
I was motivated to succeed and began keeping sporting journals on all footballing and news events daily due to my interest in working within the Media.
I regularly attend walks up Moel Fammau recently supporting ‘The Giddos Gift’ appeal where there was a walk for 12 hours without any stops – this showed dedication to a cause and showing when there is a challenge put in-front of me, I believe it is there to just push me harder.
I am passionate about delivering a proud service where the children get more out of this than I do whilst ensuring the schools are maximising their potential.
I believe I was once a champion of my own sport, just that I went un-noticed!
