As most little boys, I was a big fan of muscle characters like Superman, Batman, He-Man and other comic book characters. I admired their muscle strength power and I wanted to be just like them. Like a superhero, I wanted to be strong, help others and save people’s lives.
I started doing bodybuilding at the age of 15 and I haven’t stopped since. I am 35 now! My first competition was when I was 18 years old at junior championships, where I took 3rd place at the nationals after 4 years of training. The contest took place in my hometown and it stayed in my heart. Since that moment, I was hooked! I knew I want to be a bodybuilder for the rest of my life. After I finished school, I moved out of my country to Prague where I worked as a waiter but I still continued training. After that, I moved over to UK. After a few months living in the UK, I was noticed by a former Mr Universe from Liverpool and he told me that I could compete for his gym and that he thought I had potential. Finally, I competed again here in the North West and I won! I qualified for the British championships at the age of 22 and that’s where my journey really began. From there onwards, I competed at many shows and I won many titles like Mr England Mr UK British champion. I also finished second place at the world championships and third place for my Mr Universe.
As for many athletes, there were there were many hurdles and obstacles in the form of injuries during my career. In 2012, I started having back problems and I suffered with pain for 4 years. I had to step away from competing and started my rehabilitation. I thought bodybuilding was over, but I persevered and continued my rehab and now I can compete and collect titles again!
In May 2018, I won a big international show as an amateur and that allowed me me turn professional. My message is to never give up, keep following your dreams no matter what obstacles and hurdles you face. Dream big and you can overcome anything! I am now in a position where I can inspire thousands of people as nutritionist and trainer. I’m still helping to change people’s lives, just like the superheroes did!
