FAQ
Provided sponsor forms have been issued on the mutually agreed date, and you and your school have truly promoted the event on the school website and to all the parents, then in the unlikely event your school hasn’t achieved the target amount. We would take what has been raised, and cover the cost of your event ourselves. We wouldn’t want any schools to miss out on this opportunity because they were worried about being charged for the visit. We do however suggest you play the DVD more than once during your 3 week fundraising phase to all the pupils to remind them to gain sponsorship for their school and athlete, whilst creating excitement and expectation for their upcoming event.
Yes of course! Your event day will not only inspire the pupils at your school but will also raise the profile of the school within the local community through newspaper, TV news coverage or on social media.
This visit demonstrates to OFSTED what you’ve actively been doing as a school to promote sports and a healthy lifestyle. We have received much positive feedback from schools regarding how well the children took on board the athletes motivational message.
Yes of course there is! We have been visiting schools on a yearly basis since 2009. As you are aware, after the cost per pupil admin fee has been reached, any money over that is split 60/40, so our repeat visits see schools either donating the full 60% to their chosen charity, or in some cases donating 30% whilst keeping 30% for any resources they may need. Year after year they receive a different athlete from a different sport and unlike other fundraising projects they are continuously learning about different sports whilst being thanked for their hard work fundraising.
Yes! You can structure the event to however is best for your school as long as the athlete is still holding the fitness circuits and assembly. Some schools choose to hold the assembly first, for example. Others hold the circuits outside. As long as the adjustments are feasible, there’s no reason why not!
All of our athletes are full DBS checked and will be carrying this with them for your visit.
To ensure safety, we ask for a teacher to be present with the athlete at all times.
